22 going on 80

Slowly but surely I think I’m getting there.
I am exhausted though. Went to Brixton yesterday had a mooch around some shops, came back and wanted to sleep!
Its like I’ve become old before my time. That and the fact I seriously can’t hear anything. I swear those old people in the ward sucked out some of my youth whilst I was sleeping in a drug induced haze…. damn.
The no hearing thing is getting so lame. I’m talking really quietly because the blockage means I can hear everything I do really loudly so I think I’m shouting.
Nope.
Turns out I’m talking really quietly so people can’t hear me and I can’t hear them.
Mother and I have been having some great conversations
Me: What?
Mum: Eh?
Me: What did you say?
Mum: Speak up I can’t hear you
Me: Huh?
Mum: Aye?
So on and so forth.
Can’t hear movies unless they are turned up so the neighbours can hear. Given up on tv so last night when everyone was watching a movie I fell asleep.
So lets tally this up, I can’t hear anything, I nap constantly, I complained yesterday about how loud the school kids are. DAMMIT you are beside each other you do not have to shout or screech. Its pissing me off and I will not hesitate to slap you. I also have a stoma bag. All in all I think I’ve gone from 22 to 82 in a matter of weeks.
Its been 2 weeks and 3 days post op. Fingers crossed things get a lil bit better 🙂
