It’s been a while hasn’t it?
Nearly 21 weeks without blogging. I have been getting some serious withdrawal symptoms. The reason why I haven’t been on The Adventures of SuperSteph, is because I have been busy with a) creating this beautiful new site, courtesy of the magical powers that are Pixel Perfection. And b) I have finally moved to Australia!
There is so much to blog about, I have a few posts that I have been saving and they will surely go up in due course.
So how is TinTin fairing on the other side of the world?
At first, not well at all. I think the jet lag seriously messed with my digestive system. The first week, I didn’t really have an appetite and was pretty damn sleepy all the time. The adrenaline of being in a new country and at a friend’s wedding, who by the way is the creator of this site, kept me going.
Very quickly, a big thank you to Luke and Jacqui Humble for helping me put my vision on the web. Their wedding was absolutely stunning, and I was very happy to be a part of their special day.
Once the excitement had worn off, TinTin wreaked havoc with my body. I ended up completely out of it for a few days with a nasty fever, aches and pains, which got so bad I nearly went to the hospital. You can imagine the joy that evoked within me.
Thankfully though, I got better.
Since then, I have seen numerous different people in regards to my problems. An Acupuncturist, Ayurvedic doctor and a naturopath, all of which I will post about individually. Since having IBD the amount of times I have wrote down my symptoms, current diet and various other problems, is unreal! I think I might start making copies and handing them out.
At the moment, I am still getting dizzy and bleeding occasionally but, there has been some amazing improvements. For example I had ice cream the other day and had no issues. I haven’t had ice cream in a year because I found it so problematic. I’m not in as much pain as I used to be, things are calming down but I still have a long way to go.
And of course, I will keep you all updated, every step of the way.
