Oh my word.
Where to start! What to say?!
These past few weeks have been insane. So I hopped from Hervey Bay to Gold Coast to Melbourne to end up in Sydney. I am having such a blast, meeting people and just seeing new things.
Question is how am I doing it whilst having IBD?
Well. I won’t lie. It’s tricky. After a crazy alcohol fuelled week in Melbourne, my body is now like Guuurrrrl you need to sit your ass down! And I’m feeling a little poorly today but after some rest I’m sure I’ll be all right.
Travelling long distances can also be tricky. I always make sure that I eat something that I know won’t upset me and if its an early morning flight, to be honest I skip eating all together.
I’ll let you in on a little secret, plane toilets scare me.
Why is that flush so loud? It sounds like it’s going to swallow me down the toilet. Eurgh. Makes my skin crawl. So I avoid having to use them.
Airports are also in no way helpful to those of us who have certain dietary requirements, so if the thought of not being able to eat fills you with dread, I would most definitely recommend packing something.
I have yet to stay at a hostel, but its going to be happening soon I’m sure so I will keep you posted on how I deal with that bad boy.
